Doing It Right is a movement to engage women in civic life.
Women are decisive voters across Canada — yet many feel alienated by polarization and politics driven by ideology rather than community.
To help bridge that divide, Link Strategies launched the Doing It Right Women’s Initiative, creating an open and respectful space for women to explore politics through the lens of issues that directly affect their families, livelihoods, and futures.
Our mission is simple: to help women step confidently into civic and political spaces — not by preaching partisanship, but by connecting everyday issues to enduring principles.
Our flagship event, the Doing It Right Women’s Conference, brings together over 160 women from across the political spectrum to discuss shared values, community priorities, and practical solutions. Through engaging panels, meaningful dialogue, and genuine networking, participants discovered how their personal and professional experiences intersect with the policies that shape their lives.
But Doing It Right doesn’t stop there.
The conference is just one part of a broader initiative — a strategic on-ramp that draws in women who might otherwise avoid political spaces, introduces issues through a values-driven lens, and gradually connects those values to tangible policy ideas and real-world change.
Through events, workshops, debates, and content creation, Doing It Right continues to highlight how women can lead with purpose, influence public policy, and make an impact — all while staying true to their beliefs and balancing the diverse responsibilities of modern life.
